Resize Image
Resize images in your browser by pixels or percentage with an aspect-ratio lock. Choose PNG, JPG or WebP output and download. Nothing leaves your device.
How it works
- 01Drop an image onto the drop zone, or click to browse. Its size is read automatically.
- 02Choose pixels or percentage, then enter the new dimensions or scale.
- 03Keep the aspect ratio locked, or unlock it to set width and height freely.
- 04Pick an output format and click resize to process the image in your browser.
- 05Download the resized image directly from the result row.
Frequently asked questions
How do I resize by exact dimensions?
Choose the pixels mode and type a new width or height. With the aspect-ratio lock on, the other value updates automatically so the image is never stretched or squashed.
Can I resize by percentage instead?
Yes. Switch to the percentage mode and enter a value such as 50 to halve the image, or 200 to double it. The new pixel size is shown before you convert.
What output formats can I choose?
You can keep the original format or export the resized image as PNG, JPG or WebP, which is handy when you also need to change the file type.
Will resizing reduce the file size?
Usually yes. Making an image smaller in pixels generally reduces its file size too. For even smaller files, pair this with the image compression tool.
Is my image uploaded to resize it?
No. Resizing runs entirely in your browser using the Canvas API, so your image stays on your device and the tool works offline.
