Frequently asked questions
How does splitting by page ranges work?
Enter comma-separated ranges such as 1-3, 4-6, 7. Each range becomes its own PDF, and all of the resulting files are bundled into a single ZIP for easy download.
Can I split every page into a separate file?
Yes. Choose the every-page option and each page of your PDF is exported as an individual one-page PDF, then packaged together in a ZIP archive.
Is my document sent anywhere?
No. The PDF is read and split locally in your browser, so sensitive documents stay on your device. Nothing is uploaded, stored or logged.
Why do I get a ZIP file?
When splitting produces more than one PDF, the files are combined into a ZIP so you can download everything at once. A single-range split downloads as a plain PDF.
What happens if I enter an invalid range?
The tool checks your ranges against the document's page count and shows a clear message if a page doesn't exist or the format is wrong, so nothing is silently skipped.
