Frequently asked questions
Why turn an SVG into a PNG?
SVGs are perfect for the web but many apps, chat tools and design programs only accept raster images. A PNG is widely supported and looks identical at the size you export.
How do the scale options work?
Because SVGs are vector graphics they stay sharp at any size. Choosing 2x or 4x renders the PNG at two or four times the SVG's own dimensions, giving you a crisp, high-resolution image.
Can I set an exact width?
Yes. Switch to the custom option and enter a width in pixels; the height is calculated automatically to preserve the SVG's aspect ratio.
Is the transparent background kept?
Yes. SVGs without a background are exported as PNGs with a transparent background, so they drop cleanly onto any colour or design.
Are my SVG files uploaded?
No. The SVG is rendered to PNG entirely in your browser, so your files never leave your device and the tool works completely offline.
